Transformative journal writing is an approach to journaling inspired by deep creativity. Here are the first three articles in this series: a) Transformative Journal Writing; b) Problems with Journal Writing; and c) The Life of Words. Subsequent articles will explore various tools and techniques to add creative depth to journal writing.

In an interview, Jane Hirshfield says, “Poetry is a release of something previously unknown into the visible. You write to invite that, to make of yourself a gathering of the unexpected and, with luck, of the unexpectable.” (Jane Hirshfield: Why Write Poetry?)
